Nars used to be quite a special makeup brand for me then I slowly fell out of love over the years. Then, I started paying attention again last year when they brought out the "With Love" collection. This year, Nars offers a similar format to the Valentine's Day collection but this 9-pan palette is also included. For some reason, it popped up last year on the Nars website and I was immediately drawn to the color story.
NARS Afterglow Tempting Eyeshadow Palette ($49, Sephora)
In essence, this is another warm pink palette with multi-shimmers that Nars does very well and so often, but the matte violet shade adds such a fresh twist that the entire palette looks different. The eyeshadow formulas are all amazing - pigmented, well-blending, and long-lasting. The palette size is perfect for travel and it easily gives me more than a few different looks, so I see myself packing this to my upcoming work trip.
I made a swatch short on YouTube if you're interested:
And here is the makeup look I created with this palette:
Nars Light Reflecting Foundation in Siberia ($54, Sephora) is an amazing shade if you are a pale olive. The finish is so natural and pretty.
Nars Powder Blush in Impassioned ($34, Sephora) is my all-time favorite muted pink shade. It initially came out as an LE many years ago then it made it to the core collection, and it survived the reformulation.
I also bought the new Nars Afterglow Sheer Hydrating Lip Oil in Wondrous ($28, Sephora). It is honestly as good as the pricier Tom Ford lip oil if not better.
Hope you enjoyed this review and look post. A really solid eye palette that can satisfy many different people. I'd highly recommend it!
