Guerlain's spring collection for this year is quite extensive and full of pretty things. It is not exactly what I hoped for but it is a beautiful and well-balanced collection that many people would find pleasing.
Guerlain Ombres G 192 Honey Amber ($85, Guerlain)
Another warm neutral palette! Beautiful formulas and performance, but because Guerlain already gave us 2 warm palettes not too long ago, I wanted to see a classic cool-leaning palette.
When I compared Honey Amber with Wild Nudes and Undressed Brown, I was sure that I would find at least a few exact dupes from each, but no. I have to laugh a little because it is like Guerlain tried very hard to come up with similar but different shades.
To Guerlain’s defense, each quad yields a different vibe. Honey Amber gives me a pinky brown tone, pretty shimmers, and a lighter spring feel. Both Wild Nudes and Undressed Brown give me richer autumnal looks. Wild Nudes is quite reddish in practice and Undressed Brown is all about the rich copper-orange tone I personally love. I collect Ombres G so these subtle differences are appreciated but at the end of the day? You can get a similar look if you already have the previous quads.
Guerlain Rouge G Cherry Petal case ($38, Guerlain)
Another gorgeous creation that I did not want to miss. Guerlain has done some amazing work with these cases these days. Too bad they always sell out so quickly and this case wasn't any different. Many lipstick refills are out of stock as well. I wonder what’s going on.
Guerlain Terracotta Blush 000 Pearly Beige ($56, Guerlain)
This is probably my favorite piece from the collection. The subtle beige color is so delicate and pretty and it has the most gorgeous champagne glow.
I LOVE the Terracotta fragrance and go ga ga every time but I understand it’s not for all. The price is not pretty, however. The US price went up by $1 again and it is totally unnecessary, to say the least.
Guerlain KissKiss Bee Glow Lip Balm Pearly Edition 056 Pearly Lily, 878 Pearly Dahlia ($40, Nordstrom)
I enjoy the honey scent and the gorgeous sturdy packaging of these lip balms. I prefer this over Dior Lip Glow, for example. The new shimmery shades are stunning although I feel the shimmers on my lips. It’s not gritty but I feel it’s there.
Pearly Lily is one of those pH lip balms that turns into a very light cool pink. Pearly Dahlia is not as deep as the bullet shade - a cool brown with a hint of red.
And, here is the makeup look with the Guerlain Spring 2025 Makeup Collection:
Overall, this is a gorgeous collection and there are many things I love about the collection. There are a few things I wish were different but despite all that, I have been wearing this collection quite a bit.
