This year, Addiction Tokyo offers an extensive and quite unique collection. It actually consists of 2 parts - there is a concise and dreamy offering of "Fantasy Freefall" and a full range collection, "Through The Glass". I initially purchased 3 items then the brand surprised me with the full PR package. Here we have the entire "Through The Glass" Collection plus the adorable lip trios from the "Fantasy Freefall" Collection. This amazing collection is currently 25% off through 12/2.
Addiction Tokyo says, "The limited-edition 2024 Holiday collection draws inspiration from intimate candlelit dinners with loved ones, where antique glassware glows in the flickering flames".
This is quite a unique and interesting concept, rather a small idea yet Addiction Tokyo has created a large cohesive collection that tells the story perfectly well!
The Eyeshadow Palettes ($52, Addiction Tokyo)
There are 2 eyeshadow palettes in this collection:
101 Tinted Glass
102 Vintage Glass
102 Vintage Glass is more of my cup of tea. The muted olive and burgundy shades are quite sexy and harmonious. The color story is almost grungy but has this clean, polished feel to it.
Both eyeshadow quads are excellent quality - all shades feel extremely silky and creamy, and they layer very well on top of each other.
Lip Serum Tint ($27, Addiction Tokyo)
Cream Cheek Tint ($26, Addiction Tokyo)
The Eye Gloss ($24, Addiction Tokyo)
The Sparkle Mascara ($28, Addiction Tokyo)
Addiction Tokyo Lip Serum Tint is one of my favorite lip tint formulas. It tints the lips very naturally but the color lasts for a long while without the drying sensation plus there is a juicy shine! The limited shades of Tipsy Berry and Amaretto have this gorgeous muted undertone and subtle shimmers.
The Cream Cheek Tint shade Hidden Blush is also beautiful. The almost black pan shade might scare you but it gives me a light cool pink flush with a hint of berry. The formula is really easy to work with.
The Eye Gloss is probably the least favorite of mine from the collection only because I don't like the idea of putting something glossy on the eyelids, especially since this formula doesn't really set down. I see it would be beautiful for a temporary yet cool effect, though. Luckily, this gloss can be also used on the lips and cheeks. I've been using this on my lips to soften and prep them.
The Sparkle Mascara (Spark Romance) is something that is hard to find in the Western market. It gives that special effect under the party lighting situations. I like wearing it lightly on the tip of my upper lashes after applying my usual black mascara and also on the lower lashes (demonstrated in my second makeup look).
Lip Oil Tint ($26, Addiction Tokyo)
The Liquid Eyeshadow Ultra Sparkle ($24, Addiction Tokyo)
Addiction Tokyo Lip Oil Tint is another fave of mine. The limited edition shade Energy of Gold is quite special with fine gold shimmers and they look stunning with the light pink base color.
The Liquid Eyeshadow Ultra Sparkle Rose Bubble is perfect when worn along the lower lash lines for that Korean "aegyo sal" effect, but it is beautiful on its own if you put it lightly all over the lids for an innocent and fresh look.
I also received 2 mini lip sets which are a part of the other side of the holiday collection ("Fantasy Freefall") from the brand. Each set contains 1 matte liquid lip color and 2 lip oils. Such a great value and smart way to try Addiction Tokyo's excellent lip formulas.
And, here are two makeup looks I came up with using the Addiction Tokyo "Through The Glass" Collection:
First Look
In this look, I am wearing the lighter eye quad Tinted Glass and the Tipsy Berry lip tint. The overall feel is feminine and demure.
Second Look
I have amassed many different holiday makeup collections this year, and the "Through The Glass" Collection definitely feels a bit underdog. However, it turns out to be the most cohesive and alluring collection. What a pleasant surprise!
Addiction Tokyo is running a sitewide 25% off sale until 12/2 and this beautiful collection is included. I would highly recommend it.
