Guerlain x Pucci Fall 2024 Makeup Collection

Guerlain x Pucci Makeup Collection review swatch makeup look

Here is an interesting makeup collection for Fall 2024. Guerlain has teamed up with this edgy Italian fashion house Pucci and the collaboration is daring and memorable. The overall price of the collection is higher than the already high Guerlain price, but I guess that is understandable since this is a collaboration with another high-end designer house. There are many collectible items such as the Métèorites powder in the special packaging, the powder brush with a fabric protector with the Pucci patterns, and the limited edition bronzer that comes with a special embossing and a round Pucci exterior. They are all gorgeous and again, very collectible but I already have the same shade of the powder, a brush with a different design, and a ton of Guerlain bronzers. After all, I am a makeup enthusiast but not exactly a collector. I chose the eye quad and the lipstick because they are the new shades plus the idea of not having to deal with fabrics and dust appealed to me as well.

Guerlain x Pucci Ombres G 045 Marmo Vibe ($105, Nordstrom)

The color story is indeed very daring and some might even think it's stark. All shades are matte in the pressed powder formula that Guerlain has been employing for a while now.

The texture of these eyeshadows is soft and the application is quite even considering the usual nature of matte eyeshadows. There are some powder kickups but nothing major. All shades are well-pigmented.

I also wanted to show you how these colors look when blended out, so I made a separate swatch set using a soft eyeshadow brush. You can see these can be soft wearable shades!

Guerlain x Pucci Rouge G Marmo Kiss case ($66, Selfridges) + 45 Marmo Twist ($42, Saks Fifth Avenue)

The limited edition Marmo Kiss case is pricey but a sturdy and compact choice if you want to have a piece from this collaboration. I love the all-metal component.

The lipstick shade, Marmo Twist was a pleasant surprise. From the bullet, it looks deeper and almost goth but the actual shade is a gorgeous purple berry that is quite wearable. And, I love the Rouge G satin formula. Guerlain Rouge G lipsticks are truly one of the best in the market.

With the eye quad, you can certainly create some hardcore smokey eyes (and that was the first two looks I did initially), but I also wanted to show you can create a softer, more wearable look using all 4 shades.

I used the white color as a base and also as a blending shade, added the purple to the entire lids, placed the orangey red on the inner and outer corners for depth, and lined with the black shade. I am wearing the lip color as a stain in this look. If you blot it a few times and soften the liplines using a Q-tip, you can wear pretty much any lip color that you find intimidating.

The eyeshadow colors stay on for many hours but unfortunately, the purple turns a little bit after the 4-hour mark. I am aware all eyeshadows turn after a certain point and it shows more when it comes to pastels like this. I guess I wanted some magic since the eye palette is quite pricey.

This is probably the most fun color story that is offered for the fall 2024 season. Kudos to Guerlain for trying something new and daring. And, it turns out, these are quite wearable as well.

This collection has been very popular and many items have been sold out but please check the shopping guide below. I've gathered the major retailers where you might find this collection:
