Dior Backstage Eye Palette 004 Celestial Purple ($52, Dior)
The color story of Celestial Purple is cool-leaning but balanced. There are a good number of warm neutrals in the palette so you can create at least two contrasting eye looks if not more.
I am probably one of the few who misses the drier silkier formula of the old Backstage eye palette, but I find the new formula pretty awesome, too. Overall, they feel softer and creamier not to mention more pigmented. All shades feel and swatch very nicely. No issues here.
Dior Backstage Glow Face Palette ($48, Dior)
I love this glow face palette! Dior did an amazing job with this. There are 2 blush shades and 2 highlighters in different textures.
The top left is quite glittery and also feels a bit gritty to the touch. This reminds me of the Dior Pearlescent Glow highlighter. It is an icy white glitter highlighter that will also look quite pretty on the eyes.
The two blush shades feel quite smooth and both shades have a beautiful glow. I love that they included both warm and cool shades.
The bottom left is an interesting highlighter shade with a blue shift. From the stock photo, it looks like a lavender shade and it can also look like silver under certain lighting situations. It is shimmery but not glittery as the top highlighter.
Dior Lip Maximizer 072 Celestial Purple ($40, Dior)
In the tube, it looks like a greyed-out light lavender with cool-toned multi-shimmers. I knew that it won't add a lot of color to the lips but the subtle nuance is there. Quite beautiful!
I think Dior has nailed it this year! The Backstage part of the holiday collection is fun, beautiful, and easy to wear. I will follow up with a look post soon.
