Tom Ford Café Rose Collection

I waited for the Tom Ford Café Rose Collection for a long time and it is finally here in the US! Tom Ford Café Rose Eau de Parfum launched last year but the corresponding makeup collection did not come to the US right away. The beautiful crème blush became available in Australia and New Zealand last year and early this year in Japan, so we don't really know why it was delayed except for guessing it was a supply chain issue. I picked up the crème blush and lipstick from the collection right away, and I am so happy with them. They are gorgeous!

 

Tom Ford Café Rose Eau de Parfum (1 oz, $115, Sephora)

I purchased the smallest size bottle last year. This is one of Tom Ford's signature lines which I find more affordable and easier to wear than their Private Blends. I'd say I can still detect the Tom Ford DNA in this scent. It is a comforting rose scent that is not too mature or too green. The coffee note is rather faint but it is there in the initial stage, and this comes out more if it touches your skin directly. It is a slightly syrupy Turkish coffee scent to my nose. The sandalwood drydown is even more comforting and quite clean on my skin. Café Rose EDP lasts on me more than 8 hours. I enjoy this a lot!

Tom Ford Café Rose Crème Blush (Café Blush, $95, Saks Fifth Avenue)

Can you admire this gorgeous packaging for a bit? I mean, Tom Ford's packaging is always luxe but this is one of the best I have seen. So sleek and chic!

What's inside is pretty amazing as well. Café Blush is a delicate mauvy rose that would be flattering on many different skin tones.

I am not into cream or liquid blushes but this one is an exception. The formula is extremely easy to work with! It doesn't matter what tool I use (fingertips, sponge, and brush all work very well) and it does set down without disturbing the base makeup. Long lasting as well.

Tom Ford Café Rose Lip Color Matte (Rose Petal, $62, Saks Fifth Avenue)

There are 3 lip colors in this limited packaging. Two of them (Nubile & 100 100) are repromoted and I own them already, so I picked up the Rose Petal shade. 

Rose Petal is a deep sultry red with complex undertones. Because the color itself is quite intense and it comes in the full coverage matte formula, I can't wear it at full strength. However, if I blot it a few times and soften the lip lines, I can enjoy this beautiful shade with no issue.

Here, I have created a simple makeup look using the Tom Ford Café Rose Collection:

On the eyes, I used the 3 matte shades from Tom Ford Ember Bronze Eye Color Quad.

The bottom line, it is such a gorgeous collection. Tom Ford did an outstanding job this time and I actually think the collection is worth the Tom Ford name and even the price tag.
