Suqqu Signature Color Eyes 137 Hanamatome ($55, Selfridges)
The two matte shades are quite impressive. Despite being on the lighter side, they have clear color integrity and blend seamlessly without looking chalky. The deep purple shade is a bit of a curve ball to me. It looks like a blurple in the pan but the base is a warm royal purple. The blue shimmer is what makes the shade look cooler than what it is. If I layer this over the lilac matte, it appears cooler, and it looks warmer over the pink matte shade. Quite interesting!
Suqqu Pure Color Blush 148 Amatanka ($39.50, Selfridges)
Amatanka is such an interesting and unique blush combo! I thought it was an odd choice for the eye quad (both blushes are on the warm and muted side) but having worn this color with the eye quad, now I totally get the artistic director's intention. This is actually the component that makes the collection quite modern. If the blush was a cool-toned pink or lilac, the overall vibe would be somewhat 90s (think 90s Lancôme or Estée Lauder's pinky purple).
The blush is a slightly warm red and the highlighter is a cool shimmery pink. The shade from mixing these two is so gorgeous and flattering on the skin!
There are 2 new limited edition Moisture Glaze lipsticks in this collection, but I skipped those and chose one of the ongoing shades this time (which I will show you some other time).
Here is the makeup look I created using this beautiful collection:
Other makeup items I used:
Suqqu Eye Enhancing Primer ($24.50, Selfridges)
Suqqu Moisture Rich Lipstick 126 Beniurei
Addiction Tokyo Colour Nuance WP mascara Starry Sea
Wayne Goss The Essential Kohl Eye Pencil Deep Amethyst
I really love this fresh and vibrant color story with a bit of a twist! As usual, I enjoy the great quality of Suqqu as well as their artistic visions. Highly recommended!
