Guerlain has recently expanded its iconic Terracotta makeup line and now we have the Terracotta base products and 6 new Terracotta Blushes! (I hear good things about the Terracotta foundation and concealer but I can't find a perfect match from the range plus I personally prefer Parure Gold foundation.) I was especially excited about the new blushes since I had been waiting for the brand to update the blush range for some time! I also picked up 1 shade of the new Guerlain KissKiss Bee Glow Oil to try.
Guerlain Terracotta Blush ($55, Guerlain)
These blushes come in the same packaging as the Terracotta bronzer but smaller. I love this simple yet luxurious case that looks like a precious pebble. There are 6 shades available, and it seems to be Guerlain is covering the basics here. There are 3 different color temperatures (nude, pink, coral) in 2 ranges (light & deep). They are made of over 90% of the natural ingredients (some of you know this is not exactly a selling point for me) and have a natural luminous finish. They have the same signature Terracotta fragrance and I personally love it so much (I even own the anniversary Terracotta Parfum), but if you are sensitive to fragrances in makeup, this won't be a good thing. While I love this new blush range, I think the price should be more reasonable than 55 USD.
I picked up 3 shades - 00 Light Nude, 01 Light Pink, and 04 Deep Pink.
Guerlain Terracotta Blush 00 Light Nude ($55, Nordstrom)
Light Nude is a fresh neutral pink that looks gorgeous with everything. Surprisingly, this is my favorite out of the 3 shades I bought. When swatched on the arm, the color appears almost matte, but the subtle luminous glow comes out on the cheeks. This is a beautiful formulation with both luminous and blurring properties.
Guerlain Terracotta Blush 01 Light Pink
Light Pink is a cool-toned, slightly muted pink with a mauve undertone. It is a very beautiful and flattering shade for my complexion.
Guerlain Terracotta Blush 04 Deep Pink
And, here are all 3 swatches together:
Guerlain KissKiss Bee Glow Oil ($40, Guerlain)
There are 6 shades in this new lip oil range from Guerlain. Honestly, I am not big on lip oil and did not like the cult favorite Dior Glow Oil (also, what is the difference between lip oil and lip gloss anyway??). Having said that, I think I love this Guerlain lip oil!
I have created a makeup look using the Deep Pink Terracotta Blush and the Pop rose Glow Bee Glow Oil:
(Please note the overall glowy complexion is from Guerlain Météorites pearls, not from the blush.)
