This collection is inspired by "Iwa-Enogu", mineral pigments used for traditional Japanese-style paintings. The color compositions are unexpected yet very wearable. Suqqu has brought out an eyeshadow primer and reformulated liquid eyeshadows as a part of the collection. As much as I like the idea of easy-to-use liquid eyeshadows with shimmery finishes, I know very well that I don't reach for them often, so I just got an eyeshadow palette, a blush, and a lipstick for a complete look.
Suqqu Signature Color Eyes 127 Kassa ($53, Selfridges)
This palette captured me hard. The blue-grey shimmer and ruby combo is amazingly beautiful and I find them richer and more pigmented than some other Suqqu eyeshadows I have experienced.
It is quite versatile as well. Depending on what I use as the main shade, I can get a couple of very different looks, which is kind of rare for a quad.
Suqqu Pure Color Blush 142 Beninokori ($37.50, Selfridges)
Beninokori is a slightly muted mauvy peach with a bit of warm undertones. Very flattering and easy to wear!
The lighter strip works beautifully as a subtle highlighter but of course, you can mix all three shades and create a natural flush with a gorgeous satin finish.
Suqqu Moisture Rich Lipstick 126 Beniurei ($34.50, Selfridges)
If I mix the ruby and the blue-grey shimmer shades in equal parts, the overall eye look is much softer and reads as a muted reddish purple. However, in this makeup look, I used the ruby shade as the main and created a rather striking look:
Suqqu The Cream Foundation is an amazing cream formula that trumps Chanel Sublimage in my opinion. Give it a try if you see a good shade match.
LancĂ´me 24H Drama Liqui-Pencil is such an underrated product. 05 Seine Sparkles is a greyed-out blue shade that is just perfect for this look.
Overall, such wonderfully unique yet wearable colors. I think Suqqu did another amazing job with this collection!
