DIOR Prêt-À-Porter Eyeshadow Palette (Spring/Summer 23 Runway)

Dior has another eyeshadow quint available for us and the timing of this release seems extremely early since it is for Spring/Summer of 2023. I was almost upset to see something like this (frankly, it is tiring, you know), but I ended up feeling quite okay after learning this particular item is more tied to the fashion side of Dior. 

About a week ago, Dior had their Ready-To-Wear Runway show for Spring/Summer 2023 and this eyeshadow palette is supposedly a part of it. It is a stunning and sensual show with many beautiful pieces (you can check out the clip here) but honestly, I don't think any of the models who walked on the runway was wearing this eyeshadow palette. It is a very neutral and pretty palette for sure but at the same time, far from being unique or striking. I don't own them but I hear the Cruise Look palette from last year's Cruise Collection looks nearly identical to Prêt-À-Porter this year. The recent Wild Raffia palette has a lot of similarities as well. 

I didn't think I had anything "too similar" but still ended up finding at least a few that have similar vibes. I made swatches and comparisons so you can see and decide for yourself.

Dior 5 Couleurs Couture 349 Prêt-À-Porter ($65, Dior)

The color story is leaning slightly warm but stays fairly neutral. All shades are satin except for the darkest one which is matte.

While looking quite mundane, the subtle nuance and satin finish are very pretty. The quality is consistent with the other Dior quints I've used before. I have to say this is a great everyday palette for many.

Now, I have some comparisons:

Riviera was from a spring collection but it feels quite autumnal to me. They are similar in terms of the finish but Prêt-À-Porte feels lighter and airy.

Nude Dentelle is much warmer with a softer satin finish.

Lastly, I compared this to the Miss Dior quint. I didn't think they are too similar but both give this light-hearted and spring-like feel. Miss Dior is pinker and slightly cooler in tone.
