CHANEL Fall Winter 2022 Makeup Collection

Chanel knocked it out of the park this fall with this makeup collection full of beautiful neutral shades. Chanel Fall Winter 2022 Makeup Collection is inspired by various skin tones and offers many different shades of "nude" lipsticks and nail polishes. This is a very inclusive collection and you should be able to find at least one suitable nude shade in this collection. Ultra Le Teint (one of my favorite foundations) is also being re-promoted in this collection and there are a new eyeshadow quad and an LE eyeliner shade as well. Chanel Rouge Allure ($45, Chanel)

Yes, Chanel raised this lipstick price yet again, and now it is $45 apiece. Rant aside, the color range is pretty impressive. There are 12 shades in this launch, 6 have rosy undertones, and the other 6 have golden undertones ranging from light to dark. I chose 3 shades from the rosy undertone group since my complexion leans neutral to cool. Rouge Allure is excellent although it isn't my favorite Chanel lipstick formulation. Good pigmentation, nice comfortable feel to the lips, decent lasting power, which is probably why Chanel promotes this range in almost every collection in recent years.

194 Sensibilité is a light pinky nude with a hint of peach.

198 Nuance is a berry nude. My favorite from the bunch.

199 Inattendu is a muted mauvy brown.

Chanel Le Vernis ($30, Nordstrom)

There are 12 corresponding nail colors in this collection. I picked out 2 shades also from the rosy undertone group. I chose the extreme end of the spectrum since I am not very fond of medium shades on my hands.

937 Harmonie is a true creme nude with an opaque finish. This is quite close to my skin color so it gives me that mannequin nail look. It is a nice color but I still prefer something like Organdi.

947 Desir is a backend plum creme. Indoors, it passes as a black polish that looks flattering on the skin. Some asked me on Instagram if Desir is close to Vamp. In my opinion, they are different enough to warrant owning both especially if you like vampy nail colors!

Chanel Les 4 Ombres 58 Intensité ($62, Chanel)

This is a gorgeous plummy mauve quad with a golden accent and it looks harmonious with the various nude lip colors in this collection. However, if you already own Warm Memories quad, you might want to skip this one since the overall effect on the eyes is quite similar in my opinion. I have made some comparison swatches for your reference:

(The only difference would be the accent shimmer shades.)

Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof 44 Bleu Carbone ($34, Chanel)

Last but not least, we have this gorgeous new shade in my favorite eyeliner formulation! I have been thinking the Stylo Yeux range was missing a good grey shade and this cool grey with a sophisticated blue tinge is just perfect for what I need. I hope this eventually makes it to the core collection but I didn't want to take a chance so I purchased a backup as well. This color also makes a soft yet beautiful contrast to the mauvy eyeshadow shades from the quad. Love it.
