The packaging is essentially the same as the existing Le Rouge line but the pink velvet is so pretty and nicely represents what's inside. Givenchy also offers refills so you can reuse this beautiful cap. Honestly, I don't know when will be the next time I use up a whole lipstick but it is good to know that there is an option to be less wasteful.
(From L to R)
18 Nude Fumé - Smoky mauvy nude
23 Rose Irrésistible - Bright medium rosy pink
36 L'Interdit - Youthful neutral red
37 Rouge Grainé - Sophisticated muted red with cool undertones
As you see in the swatches, the colors are sheer but the color intensity can be easily controlled depending on how much you applied. There is still enough pigment that shows up nicely but this sheer blurring formulation also lets my natural lip color show through, which is ideal to my preference. The only possible downside is the perfumy fragrance that I detect from all Givenchy lipsticks. I personally don't mind it (it's quite "French Boudoir" if you ask me) but just in case you are sensitive to fragrances in your makeup.
Overall, this is a beautiful lipstick range that I can confidently recommend. I purchased mine from Sephora, Nordstrom, and Saks Fifth Avene. These are quite popular so some shades are often out of stock, but do check out a local Sephora pick-up option. You might get lucky.
