Look Book | Burgundy

This is the makeup look that I put together a few months ago reviewing Lunasol Nuance Shade Eyes Romantic Scene (reviewed). It is a burgundy-themed makeup and obviously not very summery, but it's so sweltering hot that I wanted to pretend it's autumn and our lives are back to normal already. To think about it, I have been wearing deep jewel-toned colors often regardless of the season.

I think the soft sheer matte lip color really brought the whole look together. Yves Saint Laurent The Slim Sheer Matte is a new favorite matte lipstick formula. It gives me that soft blurred look with just a few swipes and I don't need to blot or smack my lips to get that effect. I have two shades and will review them soon. Bare Burgundy seems pretty popular and I can see why. It's quite beautiful and wearable.

I went with a sheer luminous base but added some concealer, which I think is better than a matte foundation with full coverage. And, I chose to wear a sheer mauvy pink blush because I already emphasized the eye and lip colors.
