I had a video conference yesterday and although I didn't have to, it seemed a perfect excuse to wear some makeup. It did feel weird in a way because I had been makeup-free for more than 10 days. Before this stay-home period started, I barely managed to put on sunscreen, some powder, and lippie of the day and did not feel like wearing makeup on most days. Now I miss it. To think about it, what I miss may not be the activity itself but the routine that was a part of my version of the norm.
Back to the look, it is rather a simple one with neutral eyes and glossy red lips. Here I am wearing Romand Glasting Water Tint in Red Drop (recently reviewed here).
Red Drop is an interesting red color. Depending on the other makeup colors you pair with, it can either look warm or cool. In this look, it leans warm paired with a warm raspberry pink blush.
Here is a flat lay with the makeup products used.
- Givenchy Photo Perfexion (available on eBay) is still one of my favorite foundations although Givenchy seems to be phasing out this one. 101 Perfect Beige is a really pretty light ochre that's rare to come across in the Western foundation color range. Impressed with this one, I recently purchased another Givenchy foundation, Teint Couture Everwear. I'm excited to find out how they compare.
- Chacott Finishing Powder (available on Amazon) is my all-time favorite as well. I usually buy #764 (light ochre) and #773 (clear) to mix them. This way you get a little bit more coverage but the finish still looks fresh and airy.
- Suqqu Sumiasayake is quite unique in my collection. Not a shade I reach for every day but this bright warm pink with a red undertone looks gorgeous especially during the colder months. Suqqu blush is excellent in quality and I ended up buying two more after this.
- Romand Glasting Water Tint is one of my new Kbeauty favorites. I have shared some swatches and reviews here.
- Essence Lash Prince Waterproof Mascara (available on Amazon) is a newfound cheap thrill. It does everything I want for my lashes - lengthens, separates, volumizes, and lasts. I highly highly recommend this one. It's only $5 anyway.
- Suqqu Yuusakuyaku (reviewed here) is a must-have if you're into cool browns. I have so many neutral palettes like this but I am happy to have this in my collection as the silky finish is out of this world! It is so easy to use and looks effortlessly chic every time.
One more overall look...
Thank you for being here. Wish everyone health and inner peace.
