Instead of the fine shimmer of the Orgasm that gives you the golden glow, Super Orgasm has gold glitters.
It is darn pretty to look at, and in this case it is also very cute being a mini.
NARS Blush Super Orgasm
(GWP mini)
Mine comes in the same size pan as the NARS single eyeshadow's.
I wish NARS would come up with a mini blush set in the future although I know too well that is not how these companies make money.
From the pan, the glitters are not so bad. I don't really mind glitters if they are done right.
The gold glitters are bigger in size but not packed so densely like the shimmer in Orgasm, so it would have given more subtle effects if the glitters translated well on skin.
But sadly, they don't!
Here is the comparison swatch.
I do not think the glitters in Super Orgasm are nice quality or multi-dimensional. It seems they are flat in shape, one side being champagne gold and the other brown, so some of them flip(?) and look like brownish dirt once applied.
Apart from the difference in finish, NARS Super Orgasm is slightly pinker in color than Orgasm (reviewed here).
I also pulled out Deep Throat which is another peachy pink blush from NARS.
Deep Throat looks more muted despite of the risqué name.
On my face, these glitters are almost invisible because they practically disappear as I blend in. A few of them usually end up on my nose or décolleté. After a while, a glow that faintly resembles the Orgasm comes through, but that is about it.
If you're worried if this blush looks too glittery on, you shouldn't be. All you get is a few bits of annoying glitters. So there is no satisfaction from getting Super Orgasm whether you're fan of pretty glitters or a glitter-hater.
One must first define what a super orgasm is, but I don't think I want to find out if it is what this blush suggests.
This mini blush now sits on my blogsale although I don't know who would want it after reading this review.
